If you want to buy a 3G Internet Pack of BSNL on your phone, it is very simple. You can activate BSNL 3G Internet Pack of  just by sending USSD Code reply. You plan will be activated and the cost of the plan will be deducted from your balance. It’s very simple. Just follow the following easy Tips.

First you have to send SMS – HELP to 52244.

A BSNL USSD Code will run in your phone.


Next you will get recharge options of various offers.

Scroll down the list and see which plan you want to buy.

If your desired plan is not in the list, reply – M. The company will send you the next offer list.

Just reply the number of plan offered you want to buy, that plan will be activated to your phone very soon and the company will deduct its cost from your balance.

You will also receive a confirmation message regarding the activation of your plan.

CHEAPEST 3G DATA PLAN IN INDIA

BSNL has launched  four new Uniform Data Pack priced at Rs.17, Rs.39, Rs.78 and Rs.98 offering free data usage up to 100MB, 240MB, 500MB and 700MB respectively with different validity options, applicable for prepaid 3G and 2G customers. These packs will be avilable from tomorrow i.e. 15th August, 2013. The customer profile in the new unified Data STVs will be 3G with no speed restriction.

Earlier BSNL already announced heavy reduction in its
3G data tariff and would offer 1GB 3G data plan for Rs.125 and Rs.139 to its Postpaid and Prepaid customers which also would be available from 15th August, 2013 as we shared on TelecomTalk.

You can manually set APN and create a new connection for your gprs enabled handset without using PC Suite.

Follow this procedure:

  • Connect your phone to PC via data cable.
  • Go to control panel -> phone and modem options
  • If it asks for area code etc, type in anything you want
  • In the next dialog, go to Modems Tab and look for your phone modem.
  • Double Click on it and goto Advanced Tab.
  • In Extra Initialization Command Textbox, type this: AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","yourapnname"
  • Replace yourapnname with the APN of your Operator.
  • For BSNL It is: bsnllive or bsnlnet
Now start new connection wizard from Control Panel -> Network Connections
Choose Connect to the Internet -> Setup my connection manually -> Connect using a dial-up modem -> Tick your phone modem in list -> Specify a name for your ISP (anything) -> use *99# as phone number -> leave username and password fields empty and finish the wizard.

Now Double Click the created connection in Network Connections to connect to GPRS using your phone.

Make sure you obtain the correct APN for your operator from thier CC...
